Communities on Barota for clubs, teams, organisations, gurdwaras, artists and more.

Hubs are shared spaces where people who care about the same thing gather, post and connect. Follow the Hubs you love, join the conversation, and see their updates in one place.

Finding and joining Hubs

Open Hubs in the sidebar to see the Hubs you belong to. To discover new ones, open Explore — the Discover Hubs section lists featured Hubs with category filters (All, Football, Cricket, Music, Entertainment, News, Sport, Gaming) and shows each Hub's category and member count with a Join button. Tap a Hub to see its posts and members, and tap Join to become a member. Verified Hubs show a tick.

Barota-managed Hubs

To get you started, Barota has pre-loaded hundreds of Hubs from around the world across football, cricket, kabaddi, rugby, basketball, American football, baseball, ice hockey, motorsport, tennis, golf, boxing, MMA, athletics, gaming, music, entertainment, news, lifestyle, community organisations and places of worship. These are marked as Barota-managed and stay unclaimed until the organisation, team or artist they represent takes them over. Anyone can follow and post in them in the meantime.

Claiming a Hub

If you officially represent an organisation, club or team that has an Barota-managed Hub, you can claim it to take ownership and post as the official account.

  1. Open the Hub and tap Claim this Hub.
  2. Complete the claim form:
  • Organisation name
  • Your role at the organisation
  • Official email address at the organisation
  • Organisation website
  • Proof of authority — upload a Companies House certificate, charity registration, or an official letter on headed paper
  • Any additional information (optional)
  1. Tap Submit claim.

We review every claim carefully. You will see: "Your claim has been submitted. We will review it within 5 business days and contact you at the email you provided."

If approved, you become the Hub's admin, the Hub is marked as claimed, and the official account can post and manage members. If we cannot verify the claim, we will let you know why.

Creating your own Hub

You can also create a brand-new Hub for your community from Hubs → Create. Faith, community, cultural, charity and education Hubs are all welcome.

Changing a Hub banner

If you are a Hub admin, open your Hub and tap Change banner on the cover. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 5MB from your device. The banner updates for everyone who visits the Hub. Hub banners are always uploaded, never added as a web link.
