Safety on Barota

Barota is for adults aged 18 and over. Every account is a real verified person. One account per person. No bots. No fake profiles.

Nobody can send you a message without your permission. Someone you follow back, share a hub with or are connected to can message you; anyone else's message arrives as a request you can accept or ignore, and you can turn messages off entirely. Businesses cannot cold message personal accounts.

Your dating life is completely invisible to the rest of Barota. Your personal and professional life stay separate. Your location is never shared without your explicit permission.

Block anyone instantly. They disappear from your entire Barota. Posts, profiles, hubs, events, listings and articles each have a report option; to report a message, report its sender from their profile. All reports reviewed within 24 hours. Critical reports within 1 hour.

Barota is an adults-only platform for people aged 18 and over. Age is verified, not self-declared: we use age-assurance checks and may ask you to confirm your age. If an account is reported as belonging to someone under 18, what a minor must never reach is paused at once, and a person decides the rest.

Barota makes money from subscriptions. Not from selling your information. Not from advertising. You can download or delete all your data at any time.

In an emergency, Barota shows the emergency number for the country your phone is in, and your phone calls it. Barota doesn't contact emergency services for you, in any country.
