Barota Education (/learn) lists tutors, music and language teachers, exam-prep and sports coaches, and driving instructors. Anyone who teaches children only appears once their background check is on file.
Set up a provider profile from Teach on Barota. Pick your subject, set your rate and area, and you're listed. Running a class or course for a group? List it as an Event instead and take bookings up front.
If you teach children, Barota requires an enhanced background check on file before your listing goes live. Parents see the check as a plain, dated fact from the issuing body — Barota never calls anyone "safe" or "trusted". Barota reminds you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before your check or its insurance lapses. If it lapses, your badge comes off, new bookings stop, and your future sessions with pupils you already have pause. Renew it within 14 days and they carry on as booked; if not, each family gets a full refund. Renew it in Verification › Checks.
If you're a parent: if your teacher's background check lapses, their sessions with you pause and you're told. If it's renewed within 14 days, they carry on as booked; if not, you get a full refund, including any deposit and Barota's fee. Barota won't move you to another teacher: choosing a new one is your decision.
Learners pay when they book; the money is held and released to your wallet after the lesson is confirmed complete. Barota takes 5% on completed lessons, with no per-lead fees.
