Version 1.0 · Effective 29 July 2026 · Arc Social Ltd
These terms apply to classified listings on Arc — currently Arc Rev and Arc Space. A classified listing is an advert. The sale, purchase or letting is arranged and completed directly between the two people involved. This is different from Arc Bazaar, where Arc holds payment in escrow — see the Seller Terms for that.
Arc lists the advert and lets buyers and sellers message each other. Arc is not the seller, buyer, dealer, agent, or an agent for any of them. Arc does not take a commission on a car or property, does not handle or hold the payment, and is not a party to any contract of sale or tenancy that results.
Because Arc does not hold the money, Arc's escrow, dispute resolution and refund processes do not apply to a classified sale or letting. Money you send to the other person is sent at your own risk. We strongly advise: see the vehicle or property in person before you pay anything; never send a deposit, holding fee or transfer for something you have not seen; and check who you are dealing with.
Motor dealers and letting or estate agents must comply with the law that applies to them — including, in the UK, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, the Consumer Rights Act, and for lettings the Tenant Fees Act, right-to-rent checks, deposit protection and required property information. Equivalent obligations apply in other countries. Arc is not responsible for your regulatory compliance.
Meet in a public place where you can, bring someone with you for a viewing or test drive, and do not share bank details or documents until you are satisfied the other person and the item are genuine. Report a listing or a person that seems fraudulent — we act on reports.
Registering a change of ownership, road tax, stamp duty, capital gains and any other tax or registration obligation is the responsibility of the people to the transaction, not Arc.
Misleading adverts, fraud or repeated reports may result in a listing being removed and an account suspended. These terms sit alongside Arc's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
